BOME +22.9% to $0.00102: OI Jumps 42.2% to $37.8M

BOME Leads the Meme Tape With a Leveraged Chase
BOME rose 22.9% to $0.00102 on Binance over the past 24 hours, with OKX showing nearly the same move at +22.7%. The Solana meme token jumped off a low near $0.000826 and pushed back toward its $0.001033 session peak. Volume followed: Binance alone traded about $33.3 million in the token, and the move put the coin near the top of the day's gainers list while Bitcoin sat almost flat.
What stands out is not the size of the rally but how traders are positioning around it. The meme segment has been rotating quickly this week, and this move looks like another leg of that rotation rather than a market-wide bid. Most majors added a few percent; this one added over twenty.
Open Interest Jumps 42.2% While Venues Split
Perpetual open interest in the token climbed 42.2% in 24 hours to $37.8 million, according to the aggregate across 14 exchanges. Binance holds the biggest slice at $12.6 million, up 43.9%, and OKX added 61.2%. Smaller venues moved faster: MEXC grew its book 83.9% and Bybit 59.2%, both from a low base. Hyperliquid added 27.3% to reach $4.0 million, roughly 10.5% of the total.
The four-hour window shows the build is still running, not fading. Binance OI was up another 18.2% over the last four hours and OKX 24.1%, which suggests fresh positioning came in after the first push higher, not just early holders adding.
Funding Stays Near Zero Through the Run
The missing piece is funding. Binance funding sits at 0.005% per interval and Bybit, Bitget and KuCoin all print similar levels. The volume-weighted average across venues is 0.0058%, barely above flat. When a meme token rips 20% and funding stays this calm, it usually means longs are not yet paying a premium to stay in the trade.
That cuts both ways. Low funding removes the squeeze fuel that pushes a rally into a vertical move, but it also means there is no crowded long book waiting to unwind. The 24-hour liquidation data is light relative to its volume, consistent with a market where leverage has grown but has not gone extreme.
What to Watch Next
The key tell is whether open interest keeps climbing if the price stalls. OI up with price flat is a warning that late longs are accumulating; OI holding while price grinds higher keeps the move healthier. The other number to track is MEXC and Bybit, where the fastest builds happened. Those books turn over quickly and can amplify a pullback if the spot bid fades.
The token is still below the levels where funding historically ran hot in past meme cycles, so the rally has room before it looks crowded on a cost-of-carry basis. The risk is the opposite side: a coin this volatile can give back the gain as fast as it printed it if the tape turns.
