BONK +9.5% to $0.00356: OI Jumps 19.5%, 4H Flows Hot

BONK leads the Solana memecoin pack with a leveraged push
BONK climbed 9.5% over the past 24 hours to $0.00356, and this time the move has derivative muscle behind it. Perpetual open interest rose 19.5% to $47.1 million, a faster pace than the price gain, which points to new positioning rather than a short squeeze unwind. The rally ran from a $0.003205 low to a $0.003679 high on Binance, and spot volumes stayed heavy at roughly $47 million on the leading venue alone.
What stands out is the timing. The 24-hour OI build is spread evenly, but the four-hour window shows Binance OI up 13.3% and Bybit up 21.9%, meaning leverage is still arriving while the move is underway. That is a different signature from the meme rallies earlier this week, where funding ran hot first and longs piled in late.
Binance and Bybit are doing the heavy lifting
Binance holds $18.5 million of BONK open interest, about 39% of the total, with Bybit at $12.3 million and a 26% share. MEXC and Bitget trail with $7.4 million and $4.7 million. The concentration at the top two venues matters: when Binance and Bybit both add in the same four-hour window, the leverage tends to be directional rather than scattered arbitrage flow.
Funding rates stayed close to 0.005% per eight hours across Binance, Bybit and OKX, with the volume-weighted rate hovering near the same level. Mild funding alongside a rising OI means longs are not yet crowded. In past squeezes on this memecoin, funding pushed toward 0.03% to 0.05% before the move stalled, so there is room before leverage costs become a real drag.
What a 19.5% OI jump does to liquidation risk
A fast OI build with flat funding creates a two-sided setup. If the coin keeps grinding up, late short entries get squeezed and the move can extend. If momentum stalls near the $0.00368 high, the fresh longs added in the last four hours become the vulnerable group, since their average entry is close to the current price. The $0.00320 to $0.00321 zone, where the 24-hour low sits and OKX data shows clustered bids, is the first support level leveraged longs will watch.
The token trades like a beta play on Solana, and SOL is up 2.5% to $106 in the same window. A continued SOL bid tends to pull BONK along, while a SOL fade usually hits the memecoin harder on the downside because its perp book is thinner relative to spot demand.
Levels to watch and what it means
The immediate resistance is the $0.00368 high printed earlier in the session. A clean break with OI still climbing would confirm the trend trade, while a rejection on falling OI would signal the four-hour accumulation is unwinding. On the downside, $0.00342 and the $0.00336 area are the midpoints of the recent range where the last two four-hour candles found support.
For traders, the cleanest signal right now is the venue split. Binance and Bybit adding at the same time is a genuine new-money flow; a flip where one starts cutting while the other keeps buying usually marks the top of these moves. Funding has not confirmed euphoria yet, so the position build still has room to run, but chasing above $0.00368 with leverage is where the risk-reward turns poor.
