BTC ETF AUM Nears $100B After Monday's $338M Inflow

BTC ETF AUM Approaches $100B

Bitcoin spot ETFs added $338 million on Monday, August 24, pushing total assets under management to $98.6 billion. That puts the product group about 1.5% away from the $100 billion mark, a level that would make the headline number easier to digest for institutional allocators watching from the sidelines.

Monday's inflow is the second straight day above $300 million for BTC ETFs. Friday's $307 million was already strong, and Monday topped it. The money kept arriving while BTC traded between $76,649 and $81,270 over the past 24 hours, touching $80,000 twice before settling around $80,350.

Seven Days, $2.2 Billion

Over the last seven trading days, BTC spot ETFs collected $2.2 billion. Cumulative inflows since launch stand at $54.1 billion. The pace matters here: this is not a one-day spike. Four of the last seven sessions delivered inflows above $300 million, and none of the seven saw an outflow day.

The sustained bid shows ETF buyers are not chasing short-term wicks. They kept buying through the pullback from $79,900 and they bought the retest of $80,000. That behavior is different from futures traders, who got liquidated on both sides of the range over the last two days.

ETH and SOL ETFs Join the Flow

Ether spot ETFs took in $115.6 million on Monday, with AUM at $14.7 billion and seven-day flows at $812.7 million. SOL ETFs added $33.5 million, pushing their AUM to $1.21 billion. Combined, crypto spot ETFs saw $485 million in net inflows on Monday.

The ETH number is worth watching because it stayed steady while ETH spot drifted: ETH is up 2.2% in 24 hours to $2,495, roughly in line with the broader tape.

What the Money Flow Means

Spot ETF inflows are a different animal from derivatives positioning. Leverage can flip in minutes; ETF subscriptions take days to show up in AUM data and longer to unwind. A $2.2 billion weekly inflow is a slow-burning support layer under the $80K level, not a short-term squeeze signal.

The risk sits on the downside. If BTC fails to hold $80,000, ETF buyers face no margin calls, but the flow momentum would cool quickly and the same institutions that bought the dip could pause. Tuesday's numbers will show whether the streak continues.
