CAT +14.8% to $0.00230: OI Jumps 65%, 4H Flow Cools

CAT, the Simon's Cat meme token traded as 1000CATUSDT on Binance Futures, climbed 14.8% over the past day to $0.00230, and the move has drawn a fresh wave of leverage. Total open interest across venues jumped 65.4% to $3.1 million, yet the rally shows early signs of stalling: the token sits 22% below its 24-hour high and four-hour positioning on the top exchanges has already turned negative.
CAT +14.8% in 24H: a spot-led push
Binance quotes the token at $0.002304 with a 14.8% daily gain, against a 24-hour band of $0.002001 to $0.002945. OKX spot data lines up closely: the perp traded at $0.002309, up about 15% from its open, with highs around $0.00295 on both platforms. Bybit and Bitget show the same picture, roughly +15% with matching high and low prints. Turnover is the striking part. Binance alone cleared close to $49 million in 24-hour volume, which is more than 20 times the entire open interest base across all listed venues. That kind of churn points to fast money passing positions around rather than a crowd stacking size.
OI climbs 65% but the base is still thin
Perpetual open interest rose 65.4% to $3.1 million, and Binance holds the largest share at 72%, with its own OI up 64.9%. Bybit added 78.7% and Bitget 41.2%, so the inflow is broad rather than concentrated on one exchange. In absolute terms the book remains small, which cuts both ways. A modest wave of new longs can move the percentage numbers sharply, and the same thin book can unwind just as fast when the spot bid fades.
Four-hour flows have already turned negative
Timeframes inside the day tell a cooler story. Binance OI is down 6.9% over the past four hours, Bybit is off 13.4% and Bitget down 10.3%, even though the daily change is still strongly positive. In plain terms, traders who piled in during the push have started trimming. Price action agrees: the token topped at $0.002945 and now trades 22% lower, so the leveraged longs who chased the high are sitting underwater and the exit has begun while the day's gain still looks healthy on paper.
Funding sits at the low cap: no squeeze fuel yet
Funding rates across Binance, Bybit, Bitget and Bitunix all read 0.005%, positive but pinned at the minimum tier, with the OI-weighted rate at 0.005%. Squeeze-style rallies of this size usually print visibly higher funding as longs pay to stay in. That is not happening here, which suggests the pop is spot-led rather than short-covering pressure. The practical takeaway: watch the $0.00295 level. If funding stays capped and OI resumes climbing through a retest, another leg has room to run. If spot volume dries up first, the thin perp book leaves little cushion for a fast deleveraging back toward the $0.0020 area.
