DOOD +30%, OI Doubles to $9.5M: Leverage Chases Rally

DOOD Jumps 30% as Open Interest Doubles
DOOD traded at $0.00192 on Binance at the time of this snapshot, up 30.3% over 24 hours, with OKX showing $0.001914 and +29.9% on the same window. The two venues agree closely, so the move is real rather than a one-book spike. What stands out is not the price gain itself but what sits behind it: total open interest across exchanges doubled to $9.47 million, a 126% increase in a single day.
That combination matters. A rally driven by spot buying usually leaves derivatives volumes flat. Here, OI growth outpaced the price move, which points to fresh leveraged entries rather than short covering alone.
Binance OI Jumps 164%, Smaller Venues Follow
Binance holds the largest slice of open interest at $4.38 million, about 46% of the total, and its OI grew 164% in 24 hours. Bybit added 117% to $1.36 million, OKX rose 114% to $1.17 million, and WhiteBIT climbed 153% to $1.02 million. MEXC posted a 72% gain on a smaller base. The increase is broad, not concentrated on one exchange, which reduces the chance this is a single market maker distorting the picture.
The 4-hour change tells a slightly different story. Binance OI is up just 7.4% in the latest 4-hour window after the 164% daily surge, and Bybit actually trimmed 1.96%. Momentum in new position opening is slowing even as the price holds near session highs.
Funding Flips Positive: Leverage Has a Cost Again
Funding on the perp turned positive across major books. Binance shows 0.0424% per interval, MEXC and LBank sit at similar levels, and the exchange average is around 0.0177%. Two days ago, holding a long cost almost nothing. Now longs pay a visible fee, a sign that crowded positioning is building on the upside.
Positive funding is not bearish by itself, but when it appears alongside a doubling in OI, the trade gets crowded. The 24-hour range was wide: Binance printed a high of $0.002001 and a low of $0.001445, roughly a 38% band. The coin can move fast in both directions, so leverage built near the top of that range is exposed.
What to Watch Next
Two levels frame the near-term setup. On top, $0.002 is the level shorts defended earlier, and DOOD stalled right under it. A clean break with OI still climbing would confirm a second leg. On the downside, watch whether OI starts shrinking on pullbacks, which usually means leveraged longs are exiting rather than defending.
The practical takeaway: the rally has real participation, but the risk-reward has shifted. Late entries now pay positive funding, chase a coin already up 30%, and sit 38% away from the 24-hour low. If momentum stalls at $0.002, the leveraged longs added over the past day become the fuel for the next flush.
