FET +7.4% to $0.182: OI Climbs to $87.8M, Funding Mild

FET is trading near the top of its 24-hour range at $0.1823 on Binance and $0.1824 on OKX, up roughly 7.4% over the past day while Bitcoin holds just under $79,100. The Fetch.ai token has been one of the stronger large-cap perps of the session, and the interesting part sits in the derivatives book: open interest is expanding again, but the cost of holding a position has barely moved.

FET presses toward $0.185 after a dip to $0.169

The day started with a slide. FET touched $0.1688 on Binance and $0.1691 on OKX before buyers stepped in, and the rebound has carried it to $0.1823-$0.1824, about 1% below the session highs of $0.1844 (Binance) and $0.1847 (OKX). The 24-hour change sits at +7.4% on both venues. What stands out is the timing: the advance happened while BTC faded from the $80,500 area to the $78,620-78,640 low band and then steadied near $79,100, meaning this pop is not simply beta to the largest coin.

Open interest adds 8% to $87.8M, led by Binance

Total open interest across FET perps reached $87.8M, up 8.05% in 24 hours across 14 venues. Binance remains the anchor at $27.2M, a 31% share, with its book up 8.8% on the day. Bitget follows at $13.5M (+7.5%), Hyperliquid at $7.9M (+16%) and Gate at +15.4%, while OKX holds only about $0.6M. The 4-hour prints are nearly flat at the biggest venues, which suggests the fresh positioning was put on earlier in the window rather than in the last stretch of the rally.

Funding is positive but light

Perpetual funding rates tell a clearer story than the price move alone. Binance, Bitget and Gate are charging 0.01% per 8 hours, OKX 0.005% per 4 hours and Hyperliquid about 0.0013% per hour, while Coinbase's hourly rate is slightly negative. Longs are paying shorts, but only modestly. That combination, rising open interest alongside a price near the high end of the range and cheap funding, usually points to a move driven by fresh conviction rather than by an already crowded, expensive long book.

What to watch next

The level to track is $0.1845-$0.1850, the day's high-water mark. A break above it with open interest still expanding would signal another leg; a rejection with OI starting to fade would look more like longs taking profit into strength. On the downside, a return toward $0.169 would wipe out this session's gains and flip the tape. Because positioning is concentrated on Binance and Bitget rather than spread across many books, any sharp unwind will show up quickly in those two venues first.
