Top 5 Single Liquidations Are All Shorts: ETH $6.9M Leads

ETH $6.9M Short Wipe Leads the Board

The largest single liquidation in the past 24 hours hit ETH on Binance: a short position worth $6.91 million was closed as ETH climbed to $2,482.9. That puts the ETH squeeze in the same family as the BTC move, just with a smaller footprint. ETH sits at $2,510 on Binance and $2,509.8 on OKX, up about 3% over the day, with its 24-hour range spanning $2,420.7 to $2,531.7.

All Five Largest Wipes Were Shorts

Ranking the biggest single liquidations of the last 24 hours gives an unusual picture: every single one was a short. ETH $6.91M and ETH $5.08M on Binance, a 42,000 SOL short worth $4.08M, a 38.9 BTC short worth $3.06M, and a UNI short of 486,608 tokens worth $2.32M. With shorts on the wrong side of the bounce, the whole top of the list belongs to the same camp, a sign that the rebound caught leveraged bears holding through the move up.

Shorts Paid 64% of the $374M Total

The direction shows up at the aggregate level too. Over 24 hours the market liquidated $374 million across 77,587 orders, and $239.7 million of that hit shorts, roughly 64%. The last hour is even more one-sided: shorts lost $47.5 million versus $5.3 million for longs, meaning the squeeze is still running right now, not fading. On the exchange breakdown, Binance led with $159.5 million in total liquidations, followed by OKX at $84.2 million and Hyperliquid at $40.8 million.

BTC Holds $79.4K as the Squeeze Continues

BTC is holding $79,386 on Binance and $79,378 on OKX, up about 2.8% over 24 hours, with a range of $76,649 to $79,810.8. The market broke through $78.5K and kept pushing, and each leg higher seems to trigger another round of short wipes. The question is whether longs step in to take profit near $80K, which would cool the squeeze, or whether the push runs through the round number first. For now the funding picture is normalizing, but the liquidation data shows leveraged shorts are still the ones paying for the rally.
