UNITREE rallies to $91 as shorts unwind

UNITREE moved up 7.7% over 24 hours to $91 on Binance and $90.93 on OKX, with both venues printing near-identical highs around $94.5 and $94.2. This is not a broad-market lift: BTC sits flat near $78.7K and most majors are in the red. UNITREE is trading on its own, and the liquidation flow shows who paid for the move.

Shorts covered $1.1M of the $1.13M total

Over the same window, UNITREE saw $1.13M in total liquidations, of which $1.10M hit short positions. That is a 97% short share, one of the most one-sided readings in the market right now. The squeeze did not need a giant single order to move price. It came from a stream of smaller short covers stacking on top of each other, plus fresh longs joining the trend.

Open interest climbs 14.5% while funding stays calm

Open interest rose 14.5% to $18.6M, so this is not a simple round trip. Bitget added 47.8%, Bybit 24.3% and OKX 17.2% over 24 hours, while Gate still holds the largest single share at 36%. What stands out is funding: OKX prints 0.0035% and Binance 0.0066%, close to zero. Only Gate runs hot at 0.071%. New leverage is building, but traders have not crowded into longs hard enough to push funding rates up.

What to watch next

The setup is a classic early-squeeze pattern: price up, shorts paying, open interest rising, funding flat. If UNITREE pushes toward the $94.5 high and funding starts climbing above 0.01% at multiple venues, the squeeze has room to extend. If open interest keeps growing while price stalls, the new longs become the next liquidation pool, and the same one-sided short share flips into a long flush. Binance volume of $87.6M over 24 hours gives the move real size, so either scenario will show up in the tape before it happens.
