XRP Slips to $1.348: OI -3.9% to $2.03B, Funding Positive

XRP Pulls Back From the Week High
XRP traded down to $1.348 around 05:25 Beijing time, roughly 2.7% lower over 24 hours after failing to hold above $1.39. Binance shows $1.3478 with a daily range of $1.3365 to $1.3967, and OKX agrees at $1.3477 with a range of $1.3374 to $1.3972. The coin touched a one-week high of $1.46 last Thursday, and this week's drift has erased part of that move. Sellers showed up near $1.39 twice in the last 48 hours, and each rejection pushed the price a little lower.
Open Interest Sheds 3.9% Across Venues
Total XRP open interest sits at $2.03 billion, down 3.9% in 24 hours. The cut is broad but uneven. Binance, the largest venue at 20.3% share, trimmed 3.19%; OKX cut 5.57%; Bybit and Gate each shed around 5-6.5%; KuCoin dropped the most at 8.12%. Hyperliquid held up better, losing only 1.25% of its $215 million book, and Coinbase actually added 10.95% from a small base. The pattern is a slow unwind rather than a panic flush, with most of the deleveraging happening on exchanges that carry the largest retail long bases.
Funding Stays Positive While Price Slides
Perpetual funding on XRP remains positive across the board. Binance charges 0.0039% per 8 hours, OKX 0.0051%, Bybit 0.0064% and Gate 0.0055%. Longs are still paying shorts to hold their positions even as the price drifts down, which means the crowded side has not been forced out. Positive funding during a pullback usually points to one of two things: buyers expect the dip to be bought, or leverage is being trimmed in an orderly way. The liquidation data leans toward the second reading.
Longs Paid 88% of a Light $7.2M Flush
XRP saw $7.16 million in liquidations over 24 hours, with longs accounting for 88% or $6.3 million. The largest single liquidation was a 268,000-XRP long worth about $360,000 on Binance, followed by OKX longs near $340,000 and $291,000, plus a Hyperliquid long of 203,872 XRP at $274,000. Compare that with the August 26 flush, when XRP longs paid $31 million in a single session. Today's number is roughly a quarter of that, which suggests positions are being trimmed before they hit liquidation levels rather than being wiped out. The $1.336 low from the current session is the level to watch; a clean break below it would likely pull funding toward zero and open room for a bigger unwind.
