ETH ETF 7-Day Inflow $812.7M: 37% of BTC Pace, 15% of AUM

ETH ETFs: $115.6M Monday, Seven-Day Run at $812.7M

Spot ETH ETFs logged another day of steady inflows on Monday, Aug 24, with $115.6M in net additions for the U.S. session. That stretches the seven-day total to $812.7M and lifts product AUM to $14.74B. Cumulative net flows since launch stand at $12.29B.

Monday was the latest step in a stretch where ETH ETFs keep buying even as the spot price moves sideways. ETH trades near $2,490 at the time of writing, up roughly 1.9% in 24 hours, after a week that saw the pair swing between about $2,445 and $2,535.

The Ratio That Matters: 37% of BTC's Pace on 15% of the AUM

Put the ETH numbers next to BTC ETFs. Bitcoin products pulled in $337.6M on Monday and $2,197.7M over the same seven sessions, with AUM at $98.6B. The ETH ETF seven-day figure of $812.7M comes to about 37% of the BTC total. But ETH ETF AUM is only $14.74B against BTC's $98.56B, roughly 15%. Flows into ETH products are running at more than double the rate the asset base would imply.

That gap is the signal. Institutional money is allocating to ETH faster than the size of the product would suggest, and this kind of divergence tends to show up before the spot market reprices. Timing is never guaranteed, but the direction of flow is hard to argue with.

Spot Buyers vs Perp Traders: Two Crowds, Opposite Sides

The flow picture gets more interesting against derivatives. ETH perpetuals saw $186.5M in liquidations over 24 hours, with about 70% of that hitting short positions, per exchange liquidation data. Open interest and funding have been rebuilding quietly. So ETF flow buyers are accumulating into dips while leveraged traders keep trying to fade rallies.

Both sides cannot be right forever. With one crowd this crowded, a funding reset or a short squeeze becomes the obvious risk to watch on ETH.

What to Watch Next

Tuesday's U.S. session will show whether the ETH inflow run holds. Three things matter: whether the seven-day total stays above $700M, whether ETH defends the $2,450 area, and whether perp funding flips clearly positive. If flows keep coming while shorts stay heavy, the setup leans toward a squeeze rather than a breakdown. If the streak breaks, the bearish perp positioning gets more room to play out.
