PIEVERSE Perps +22.6% to $1.26 as OI Hits $56.7M

PIEVERSE climbs 22.6% to $1.26 while BTC slips under $79K
PIEVERSE is the top mover among crypto perps right now, up 22.6% to about $1.26 in 24 hours. Binance prints $1.2569 and the OKX swap sits at $1.2619, the two venues within 0.4% of each other. The rally started from a $1.016 low hit during the earlier market dip, ran to a $1.318 high, and the token is holding most of those gains near $1.26 as of this writing. That move came while bitcoin faded to about $78,860 after touching $80,540, so this reads as a divergence trade rather than beta to the largest crypto.
Open interest jumps 24% to $56.7M, Binance and Bybit lead the build
Perp open interest across eight venues rose to $56.7M, up 24% in 24 hours. Binance holds the largest share at 29.9%, or $16.95M, after adding 30.8% on the day. Bybit grew faster in relative terms, up 35.1% to $9.22M, and OKX added 32.4% to $5.84M. KuCoin sits second by share at 21.9% of the total, $12.41M, but its growth was slower at 12.8%. The 4-hour reads are all still positive, Binance plus 14.8%, OKX plus 17.1%, Bybit plus 16.4%, a sign new leveraged positions are opening while the price consolidates just under the high instead of unwinding into it. Aggregate 24-hour volume sits near $116M, roughly double the open interest, so flow is active rather than thin.
Funding is positive venue by venue, longs are paying to hold
Funding turned uniformly positive, which means this rally is being carried by leveraged longs rather than spot-only buying. Binance is pricing 0.034% heading into the next settlement, Gate is at 0.015%, and the OI-weighted average across venues is about 0.022%. Bybit and Bitget sit lowest near 0.005% but remain above zero. These are not blow-off readings; they look like steady demand from a long side that has been right so far today.
Why the next few hours matter
The setup is a coin sitting about 5% below its $1.318 high while open interest keeps climbing, so the fuel for another leg up is in place if buyers retest that level. The risk runs the other way too. A BTC break under $78,600, today's low zone, could flush the fresh longs, and a range of roughly 30% between low and high means leveraged positions are carrying wide stops. MEXC is the only venue cutting exposure, down 10% in the last 4 hours, while KuCoin's slower growth at a 22% share is the second divergence to track. However it resolves, the funding ledger says today's marginal buyer is leveraged.
